Meet the lovely Rubi! She had a home in Romania. Her owner took her to the vets to be neutered but the vets couldn’t proceed because they found Rubi was heavily pregnant. Her owner then abandoned her at the vets.

Rubi gave birth soon after but unfortunately both of her kittens died. She has been suffering with severe mastitis where several mammary glands have been removed to help her.

Rubi is estimated to be only a year old. She is now at the shelter and has become a firm favourite with the team.

Rubi is super social with humans. She loves to talk to you (she’s very vocal!) and she loves to play. She has adapted to shelter life very well and the team say she is a real cutie.
